Zak Johnson is a singer/songwriter/musician from Eugene, Oregon who has taught private and group music lessons since 2003, including the celebrated Music’s Edge camps at the W.O.W. Hall. Zak has recorded with numerous groups and has performed throughout the nation with such acts as David Jacobs-Strain and the award-winning University of Oregon Gospel Singers. Zak is an enthusiastic and supportive mentor to his pupils, some of which have gone on to become college music students and signed artists with promising careers of their own.
Katie has worked as a pianist and vocalist for 14 years. She holds a B. Music Performance from the UO where she studied Piano, Harpsichord, Organ, and Voice. She is a member of the Oregon Music Teacher's Association. She helps students develop their style through teaching music fundamentals in music that inspires them.
A unique music educator and performer, Michael Jay McCarthy contributes notably to the music community in Eugene, Oregon. Michael can be seen performing in various genres all over the Northwest with The Essentials, Jamalia, The Illusionists, and The Chorus. M.M.E. Music Education.
Josh is a lifelong musician who specializes in Oud, North Indian Tabla, and music theory and composition. After earning a degree in music composition in 2001, Josh toured India and Morocco, the sources of his favorite music. He has studied Oud since 1998, with Maurice Rouman of Armenia and Ishmael of Iran, and has played professionally since 1999. M.F.A. Music 2006.
Seretta has played in the orchestra at the UO where she holds a B.S. in Psychology and she has played in various groups since then. She has taught violin, recorder and is an instructional Assistant at Spencer Butte Middle School. Seretta teaches in a variety of styles such as Jazz, Blues, Classical, Fiddle, Appalachian, Irish, and Jewish Music.

Amy’s lessons are classically-inspired, non-competitive, private and group piano lessons that include theory, composition, improvisation, sight reading, ear training, sight singing, and performance. Melissa Davey is a piano, violin, and viola instructor. She teaches classical and fiddle styles. She has recently finished her Masters program at the University of Oregon. Melissa is fun, creative, and effective in her approach to teaching.
Sofia Mancini is a piano instructor. Her goal as a piano teacher is to help each individual student learn to love the piano as she does.
She teaches from the heart and for the heart, along with very strong technical foundations so that playing the piano becomes a means of expression, a creative outlet and a stepping stone to wonderful experiences!
